Adopting a pet is an exciting step, but it can sometimes be a little more involved than people expect. At Claws & Paws Animal Adoption Center, our goal is to help you find a pet that will be a great addition to your family. We’ll walk you through the process, answer your questions, and help make things as smooth as possible. While we do reserve the right to decline an adoption if it’s not in the best interest of the animal, we’ll do our best to work with you to find the right fit. Please allow at least one hour for the adoption process. Adoption fees can be found below.

If you don’t see the pet you’re looking for on your first visit, don’t worry — new animals arrive at the shelter almost every day. Be sure to check back often and keep an eye on our website for updates. We also recommend bringing the whole household (including any dogs you already have) to meet your potential new pet before making things official.

Once you’ve found a pet you’re interested in, the first step is to fill out an adoption application. After you submit it, one of our staff members will review your information to make sure the adoption is a good fit for both you and the animal. If your application is approved, we’ll move on to the adoption contract to make things official. Once the paperwork is complete, your new pet will be ready to head home with you and start their next chapter!
